Hi there, everyone. It’s Nix and Dragon. It’s midnight on May the 22nd, 2012. We’re hours away from launching - we’re just waiting on last minute MP3’s from a couple of bands and a few tests, and we’re the real deal. If you want to stay up with us as we finish, you’re welcome to, but we’ll probably be live in the very early morning.

We wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thank you, to everyone who has been a part of making Swerp go from a sliver of an idea into this giant wave of a label. The support and encouragement we’ve gotten from everyone, from the south suburban community, to people from across the oceans who just think our bands are cool, has been beyond inspiring and motivational. Thank you, each and every one of you. :)

So, today’s the day. If there’s ever been a time Swerp Records needs your support, it’s the moment you see that “we’re live” post hit tomorrow morning. Share buttons. Links. Water House - No! Fun!

ALL NEW WATER HOUSE TUNEAGE from Swerp Records!

Water House is a self-described “Miasma Rock” quintet from Chicago, IL. Ian Sutherland sings and plays guitar, Dan Velazquez plays guitar and screeches, Evan Mulvihill plays the Dying Whale (among other devices), Nnamdi Ogbonnaya plays bass and shakes hips, and Brendan Smyth plays drums and whistles. Using bits and pieces of the endless influences they share, or not, they create songs motivated by moods, emotions and ideas, rather than some specific style.

Also, they are all insane, and not to be trusted.

Obviously, we want to do more cool, image-and-music style posts on this Tumblr than on our relatively stuffy Facebook page, so what would you guys like to see? Photos of Swerp stickers on stuff?
